ITENERARY

This will work easiest if you plan to arrive Wednesday evening, 1 JUN 22. We will hit the ground driving to

Weston, MO on Thursday morning, 2 JUN 22. Be sure you tell the hotel your arrival date is Wednesday, 1 JUN 22.

5:30 PM Gathering, welcome & meeting for Thursday Tour Day, get Convention Envelopes & Name Tags Dinner on your own (within walking distance)

10:00-12:00 Arrive at McCormick’s Distillery for tour and tasting, Weston, MO ($25 per person for a special tour w/small bus) (IF WE ARE LATE IN ARRIVING, THEY WON’T HOLD THE TOUR TIME FOR US!)

12:30 LUNCH @ Tin Kitchen, on Main Street

1:30 Free time for shopping in Weston

3:15 Gather and depart for driving tour of Weston State Park

3:15 Glore Psychiatric Hospital or Stetson Hat, St Joseph, MO (*See SPECIAL NOTE below)

5:30 or so Arrive at Hotel - Dinner on your own

Brief stop for viewing the Federal Penitentiary on the way

2:15 Arrive – C. W. Parker Carousel Museum, Leavenworth, KS

4:15 Depart for Hotel

4:45-6:30 Put away vehicles, clean up and relax

6:30 DINNER and Annual Meeting (Location TBD)

NOTES:

· This is a five (5) day event with three (3) tour days, four (4) nights, including a travel day at each end.

· YOU WILL WANT TO ARRIVE THE DAY OR EVENING BEFORE (on Wednesday, 1 JUN 22)

· I have personally toured the Hotel, it’s very nice and folks are most accommodating!

· It has indoor and outdoor pools with two very large pool areas, also there is a very nice outdoor area with coy ponds and waterfalls. We have our own “check-in” area on the 2nd Floor by the elevator

· Parking lots are all paved, easy access handicap rooms, all upstairs rooms have elevator access

· I have negotiated “group” prices for everything (where available).

· 3 restaurants are located on the same parking lot as the hotel, more are a short walk or drive

· As of this document date – (in RED above) St Joseph, MO has NO mask mandates

· PLEASE! Wear your NAMETAG! This helps the venue know who you are and where you should be!

· Venues may change at the last minute, please be understanding, thanks!

Name Cards and laminated attendee/phone # cards for around your neck, shirt pocket or wallet, will be available. HOWEVER, please send your Name and cellphone info to Clyde Pace to be included on the phone # Card.

This makes it much easier to contact folks!

· COST – All rooms are $125.95 incl all taxes and fees

· HANDICAP ROOMS – King and Double beds, 1st floor, wide doors, wheelchair accessible showers

· PET FEES - $25 per night, non-refundable

· BREAKFAST – Continental or full-hot, available each morning

· PARKING – Free, all-asphalt, ample for trucks, RV’s and car trailers

· Two big swimming pools, 1 outside and 1 inside, with large relaxation areas

· Private on-site lounge areas with seating, coy ponds, and waterfalls

We are reserving 15 rooms… We’d love to fill those up quickly!

· FOOD – All food, except for each mornings’ hotel breakfast, will be “on your own”

· “THE LAST SUPPER” AND FINAL MEETING (TBD)

TOUR VENUE DETAILS:

· Meet in the Hotel Lobby AT LEAST 15 min prior to departure time for tail vehicle assignment and radio

· Wherever possible, I’ve included the cost per person for each venue

· In all cases the Group price is the same as the Senior price

· *SPECIAL NOTE: On Friday’s tour at 3:00 PM, you may make a choice as to –

Going to the Glore Psychiatric Hospital Museum and the Doll Museum (and 2 others)

Going to the Stetson Hat Warehouse. Some folks, for a variety of reasons may not be comfortable viewing the Glore Psychiatric Hospital display of restraints and history. If so, the Stetson Hat Warehouse is an available alternative.

You may simply go back to the Hotel a little early.
