Getting our Kicks on Route 66!
The Shay Owners Club, International 2026 Annual Meeting and Convention is now in the history books. It was a great... no, smashing... no, CRUSHING success, with nearly 50 SOCI members and friends, and about two dozen Shay, Camelot and other cars in attendance. I can't imagine how it could have been better.
Thanks for this success, and the great time we all had, go to Don and Sally Smith, proud local residents who knew what was great in and around Springfield, MO. We toured a historic battlefield, drove our cars on a few dozen miles of the original, narrow, hilly and historic Route 66, with historic stops along the way. And we toured the prize-winning History Museum on the Square, in the heart of Springfield. On the free day, attendees took to local shopping, a steam show, the Fantastic Caverns, and great dining experiences. We saw the giant Bass Pro Shop, with its collection of small museums including motorsport/racing, historic firearms, archery, fly fishing, and wildlife; and a spectacular aquarium.

Thanks, Don and Sally.
